In the Mirabell Garten

In the Mirabell Garten

The Mirabell Garten is a formal garden but it still has a fanciful feel. It surrounds the Mirabell Palace in the Neustadt section of Salzburg. There are different sections which include an arbor walk, a rose garden, and a dwarf garden. The new building of the Mozarteum music school borders one side of the formal garden.DSC_0360

The Zwerglgarten (Dwarf Garden). These stone sculptures are likenesses of actual dwarves who worked as caretakers for the royal children.

This is such a charming section of the garden.

Here is the old Mozarteum building, where I attended class back in 1973.
